The goal of the Housing Counseling Program (HCP) is to provide comprehensive housing counseling which would assist home buyers, homeowners, and tenants in gaining knowledge and the skill needed to meet their housing needs and resolve their housing problems. Our objective is to provide counseling and advice to tenants and homeowners on property maintenance, financial management and other pertinent issues which will in turn greatly improve their housing conditions and help them fulfill the responsibilities of tenancy and home ownership.

• Home Buyer Education Program - HELP (HUD’s Home Buyer’s Educations & Learning Program)
  
  
• Pre-purchase home ownership counseling
  
  
• Post-purchase Counseling, Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) Counseling
  
  
• Marketing & Outreach initiatives providing general information about housing opportunities within our area and provide housing counseling services and information to persons upon request.
  
  
• Renter Assistance Counseling providing information about rent subsidy programs, rights and responsibilities of tenants, and lease/rental agreements
  
  
• Fair Housing information and Loss Mitigation
